One of the ultimately cool things to happen in a lifetime for any poet I would think, is having a piece of writing become a song. This happened for me with Soggy Bottom Breakdown on Les Copeland’s disc, on the Earwig Music label. The first time I heard the song complete in rough at the studio I cried. I had been hoping to hear the song as a song, it finally dawned on me that it was a song for others too when the guys were singing along.
